MEET THE INSTRUCTOR

Extreme Cowboy Course

Whether you are training for a future Extreme Cowboy race or you simply want to work on enhancing your horse's confidence and your riding skills, obstacles provide a terrific form of training for you and your horse.  Even with a young horse, not yet under saddle, working basic obstacles in hand is an extremely valuable step in your horse's education.  Incremental growth builds confidence which in turn deepens your partnership with your horse.

To help riders work toward acheiving their riding goals, the Extreme Cowboy Racing course at Gambler's Ridge is open to the public for training for a daily facility use fee of $15.  Annual passes are also available for $200 allowing unlimited use for a 12 month period.  The facility usage fee provides access to the Extreme Cowboy Course, arena, round pen and barn.

Daily users can get overnight stall rental for $10 while annual pass holders receive discounted overnight stalling at $5 per night.  Both receive free trailing parking for a maximum of 3 nights.  Overnight guests must providing shavings, feed and hay.  Shavings can be purchased at Gambler's Ridge for $6 per bag.

A  Facility Use Agreement and rider release must be signed by all guests.  Coggins must be provided and will be kept on file at Gambler's Ridge.

Riders must always make an appointment in advance with Joy Pinto before using the course in order to keep the facility user friendly.  Safety is a priority and keeping an appropriate number of riders on the course can only be accomplished if riders make facility use reservations in advance.
